"CommUnique and the Mena Fintech Association Set New Industry Standard with Launch of Groundbreaking Sustainable Fintech Report"

December 12, 2023

CommUnique proudly announces the official launch of the Sustainable Fintech Report, a pioneering initiative that marks a significant milestone for the MENA region.

This report, the first of its kind in the region, is now live and sets a new standard for fostering sustainability and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices within the fintech sector.

The primary objective of the Sustainable Fintech Report is to empower fintech companies in the MENA region to embark on their sustainability and ESG journey. By offering tangible evidence of how sustainability initiatives can lead to profitability and enhance a brand's reputation, the report serves as a practical guide for fintechs looking to integrate sustainable practices into their business models.

This groundbreaking initiative owes its existence to the collaborative efforts of the Sustainable Fintech Alliance and the dedicated co-chairs, Tom Romanski and Katherine Foster. Their commitment to advancing sustainability in the fintech sector has been instrumental in bringing this report to fruition.

As the co-chair of the committee overseeing this initiative, Our Founder Gihan Hyde stated “ I am immensely proud of this report and all the case studies featured within it. This is the first time we a truly diverse case studies from fintech’s around the world and the Mena region showcasing how they played their part in saving our planet and having an impact on our people.

In a landmark development, this year saw the participation of industry giants Klarna, Meta, and E&. The report received the endorsement of key entities, including the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), and the Central Bank of Egypt.
